About Convert Ferry

Convert Ferry is a collection of free converters for everyday files, units and times.

What it is for

Most people meet a file conversion problem a few times a year. A video that will not play. A photo format a form will not accept. A document that has to become a PDF by five o'clock. The job is small, but the usual routes are not: install an app, create an account, or use a site that puts its logo on your file.

Convert Ferry is meant to be the short route. Choose the file, pick what you want, save the result. The same goes for the unit and time zone converters: one clear answer, with the working shown.

What it offers

  • Video: converting to MP4, compressing, cutting, making GIFs and checking a video before posting.
  • Audio: converting audio files and saving the sound from videos.
  • Images: converting between JPG, PNG and WebP, opening HEIC photos and building PDFs from pictures.
  • Documents: PDF to Word text, PDF to pictures and EPUB to PDF.
  • Everyday conversions: archives, units and time zones.

Being straight about limits

Every converter page says what the tool cannot do as well as what it can. PDF to Word carries over text, not layout. RAR archives and copy-protected ebooks are not supported. Where a tool is the wrong choice for a job, the page says so and points to what will work.

The converters work on files you already have. The site does not fetch videos, music or pictures from other websites or apps, and it is meant for files you made or have permission to use.

How it is paid for

The converters are free. The site does not show advertising at the moment. It may be supported by clearly labelled advertising in future, and never by adding anything to your files. There is no paid tier and no watermark. The privacy policy explains how files are handled.

Keeping the facts accurate

Conversion factors on the unit pages are the exact legal definitions. Time zone conversions use the standard time zone database, so daylight saving changes are right for the date you enter.

App limits change often. Where a guide or tool quotes a limit for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or WhatsApp, it says when the figure was last checked, and it says so when a figure comes from third-party reports and not from the app's own help pages. Limits were last reviewed in October 2026. If you spot something out of date, please get in touch.
