Turn an EPUB ebook into a PDF. Choose the paper and text size, check the preview, and save.

How to convert EPUB to PDF
- Tap Choose an EPUB and pick the book.
- Choose a paper size and a text size. The preview shows the book's contents.
- Press Save as PDF. Your device's print screen opens.
- Set the printer or destination to Save as PDF and save the file.
On an Android phone, the destination is at the top of the print screen. On a computer it is the first option in the print window. For clean pages, switch off Headers and footers in the print options, which otherwise add the date and page address to every page.
Why the two formats differ
An EPUB has no pages. Its text flows to fit whatever screen it is on, and the reader chooses the type size, so the same book might be 200 screens on a tablet and 900 on a phone.
A PDF is the opposite. Every page is fixed: the same words in the same place on every device. That makes PDF better for printing, for quoting page numbers and for devices that do not read EPUB, and worse for small screens.
Converting means choosing, once, the page and type size that the EPUB normally leaves open. That is what the two settings are for.

What the PDF contains
- All the text, selectable and searchable, with headings and paragraphs.
- Pictures, including the cover if the book stores it as a page.
- Each chapter on a new page.
- A plain book typeface. The publisher's own fonts and styling are replaced with a clean, consistent design.
Good to know
- Copy-protected books cannot be converted. Ebooks bought from most stores are locked with DRM. The tool recognises these and tells you. Books without DRM, such as public domain titles and many direct-from-author purchases, convert normally.
- The table of contents is not turned into PDF bookmarks.
- Fixed-layout books such as comics and some children's books are designed as pictures, and do not convert well.
- Sending a book to a Kindle? You do not need to convert it. Amazon's Send to Kindle service has accepted EPUB files directly since 2022.
Questions
Where does the PDF go?
Your device's print screen asks where to save it when you choose Save as PDF. On Android it goes to Downloads unless you pick another folder.
Why is there a date and address at the top of each page?
Those are the print headers and footers. Turn off Headers and footers in the print options before saving.
How do I get fewer pages?
Choose A4 paper and the Small text size. For more comfortable reading on a small screen, do the opposite.
Why does it say my book is copy-protected?
The book has DRM, a lock applied by the store that sold it. Converting it would mean removing that lock, which this tool does not do.
Can I convert EPUB to MOBI for my Kindle?
There is no need. Kindles now accept EPUB through Send to Kindle, and Amazon no longer supports sending MOBI files that way.
